The 32-year-old chef chose the name of an Arctic Monkeys song to name his first restaurant. Located in Hackney Wick, Tom Brown’s Cornerstone was rated the 3rd best restaurant in England in late 2019.
The star element is fish. Innovative food. Small dishes to share. We recommend the tasting menu which consists in eight courses. Everything was excellent and super well presented.
The kitchen is in the middle of the room. It’s always nice to see the kitchen in action. There are concrete, black curtains, plants and works of art on the walls: a simple, nice and urban setting. The restaurant is not very close to central London, but it is just a few minutes’ walk from an Overground stop.
